O maior conquistador não é aquele que conquista grandes coisas, mas sim o que conquista as pequenas e as torna grandes!

I asked a friend who has crossed 70 & is heading towards 80 what sort of changes he is feeling in himself? He sent me the following:
1 After loving my parents, my siblings, my spouse, my children and my friends, I have now started loving myself.
2 I have realized that I am not “Atlas”. The world does not rest on my shoulders.
3 I have stopped bargaining with vegetable & fruit vendors. A few pennies more is not going to break me, but it might help the poor fellow save for his daughter’s school fees.
4 I leave my waitress a big tip. The extra money might bring a smile to her face. She is toiling much harder for a living than I am.
5 I stopped telling the elderly that they've already narrated that story many times. The story makes them walk down memory lane & relive their past.
6 I have learned not to correct people even when I know they are wrong. The onus of making everyone perfect is not on me. Peace is more precious than perfection.
7 I give compliments freely & generously. Compliments are a mood enhancer not only for the recipient, but also for me. And a small tip for the recipient of a compliment, never, NEVER turn it down, just say "Thank You.”
8 I have learned not to bother about a crease or a spot on my shirt. Personality speaks louder than appearances.
9 I walk away from people who don't value me. They might not know my worth, but I do.
10 I remain cool when someone plays dirty to outrun me in the rat race. I am not a rat & neither am I in any race.
11 I am learning not to be embarrassed by my emotions. It’s my emotions that make me human.
12 I have learned that it's better to drop the ego than to break a relationship. My ego will keep me aloof, whereas with relationships, I will never be alone.
13 I have learned to live each day as if it's the last. After all, it might be the last.
14 I am doing what makes me happy. I am responsible for my happiness, and I owe it to myself. Happiness is a choice. You can be happy at any time, just choose to be!
I decided to share this for all my friends. Why do we have to wait to be 60 or 70 or 80, why can't we practice this at any stage and age?

To be beautiful, all you have to be is you,
You do not have to be tall to be
beautiful.
You do not have to be thin or long-limbed.
You do not have to have long, straight, shiny hair.
You do not have to be an hourglass or a string bean or a pear.
You do not have to be blemish-free, without freckles, scars, or tattoos.
You do not have to fit or demolish certain physical paradigms.
You do not have to be buxom to be
beautiful.
You do not have to possess va-va-voom curves or full lips.
You do not have to resemble a movie star, or a lingerie model, or a porn star.
You do not have to sexualize your exterior to be beautiful.
You do not have to neuter your exterior to be beautiful.
You do not have to wear makeup to be
beautiful.
You do not have to wear skirts and heels.
You do not have to cover your grays or disguise your cellulite.
You do not have to shun or accept practices of dressing or personal
presentation.
Those who quantify beauty as genetic makeup,
symmetry, mathematical ratios are, to me, as wrong as those who accept beauty
as a set of societally-imposed ideals and standards. To rank beauty, classify
it, assign it biological markers and geometric requirements is to say to some
people, “No, you cannot have this. It is not for you.” And although many will
disagree with me, I believe that beauty is a feeling, a freedom, a pulse from
within that says, “I am worthy, lovely, strong.” And I believe every single
human being has a right to feel it.
Beauty is not definite, it is relative.
Beauty is not exclusive, it is infinite.
Beauty is not for others, it is for you.
And to be beautiful, all you have
to be is you, you, you.

7 WAYS TO BE SUCCESSFUL.
If you stay consistent in your
efforts to achieve your life goals, you will be successful. When you are
successful, you feel great inside and you transmit that positive energy to
others.
Apply these strategies for success
and pursue the sweet life you want:
1. Find a mentor.
To help you in your quest to get
ahead in your career, refine specific skills, or get in the best shape of your
life, seek out someone who has done it before. Ask for their counsel.
·
Learn from someone who has been there and continues to excel. Take them
out for coffee and pick their brain. Have your specific questions. Listen to
what they say.
2. Care less about
what others think of you.
Care less about what others think of
you and more about how you feel about yourself. When you react to what others
think of you, it hampers your own sense of self. Instead, listen to your heart.
Recognize that what you want for yourself is more important than what someone
else wants for you. Go after your own dreams.
3. Be clear about
your life goals.
Nothing can derail your efforts for
success like being unsure about what you want. To get clarity on your goals,
journal about where you want to be physically and spiritually in the next year,
three years, five years, and ten years.
·
Looking ahead will lead you to see what steps to take to reach the
success you are seeking.
4. Surround yourself
with positive people.
If you have friends who rarely work,
complain frequently about their career, or make unhealthy life choices, they
are likely bringing negativity into your life.
·
When you hang out with those who are upbeat, interested in making a
difference, and committed to personal achievement, you will find yourself modelling
their feelings and behaviour’s. Practicing their way of living will put you on
the road to success.
5. Embrace your
failures.
Rather than fearing and loathing the mistakes,
you have made, take them in, study them, and find the lessons in them.
6. Each day, take a
step closer to your goals.
One of the best ways to keep your
goals in mind is to infuse aspects of them into your daily life. If you want to
save $10,000 for a trip to Europe, at the end of each day, place all your
change in your money jar. You can literally watch your goal come to fruition.
Add a $10 or a $20 dollar bill at the end of each week.
·
When you do something daily to work towards a goal, it becomes an
important aspect of your routine existence. You will feel happier, more in
control, and increasingly confident.
·
7. Use a pros and cons list to make quick decisions.
If you have ever
been unsure about a decision, you will appreciate learning to jot down a quick
pros and cons list. Weighing out the positives and negatives of your issue can
lead you in a positive direction.
o Rather than staying
in a state of confusion and uncertainty, use this method to attain better
control over what vexes you.
Regardless of where
you are in life, you can get closer to achieving your goals by applying these
useful tips. Use your inner strength to create dramatic personal growth within
yourself. Start today.
Understanding and accepting your errors will provide you with the information you require to succeed the next time.

Let us all encourage our wives, friends and daughters to dress well and decent!
Two young women arrived a Meeting
wearing clothes that were quite revealing their body parts. Here is what the
Chairman told them: He took a good look at them and made them sit. Then he said
something that, they might never forget in their life. He looked at them straight
in the eyes and said; "ladies, everything that God made valuable in this
world is well covered and hardly to see, find or get.
1. Where do you find diamonds? Deep
down in the ground, covered and protected.
2. Where do you find pearls? Deep
down at the bottom of the ocean, covered up and protected in a beautiful shell.
3. Where do you find gold? Way down
in the mine, covered over with layers of rock and to get them, you have to work
hard & dig deep down to get them.
He looked at them with serious eyes
and said;
"Your body is sacred & unique" You are far more precious than
gold, diamonds and pearls, and you should be covered too ."So he added
that, if you keep your treasured mineral just like gold, diamond and pearls,
deeply covered up, a reputable mining organization with the requisite machinery
will fly down and conduct years of extensive exploration.
First, they will contact your government (family), sign professional contracts
(wedding) and mine you professionally( legal marriage). But if you leave your
precious minerals uncovered on the surface of the earth, you always attract a
lot of illegal miners to come and mine you illegally. Everybody will just pick
up their crude instruments and just have a dig on you just freely like that.
Keep your bodies deeply covered so that it invite professional miners to chase
you.
Let us all encourage our wives, friends and daughters to dress well and decent!

Every one of us casts a shadow.
There hangs about us, a sort of a strange, indefinable something, which we call personal influence--that has its effect on every other life on which it falls. It goes with us wherever we go. It is not something we can have when we want to have it--and then lay aside when we will, as we lay aside a garment. It is something that always pours out from our lives . . . as light from a lamp, as heat from flame, as perfume from a flower.
The ministry of personal influence is something very wonderful. Without being conscious of it, we are always impressing others by this strange power that exudes from us. Others watch us--and their thinking and actions are modified by our influence."
"Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity." Ephesians 5:15-16
